Day 2: Cochin-Periyar
This morning after breakfast at the hotel, drive to Periyar which lies in the shade of Cardamom Hills and is a beautiful area of tranquil winding. Check-in at Hotel. Late afternoon enjoy a boat safari in Lake Periyar in the National Park, known for herds of wild elephant, bison, deer and spectacular bird life.

Day 3: Periyar
You may wish to venture again, early morning to the national Park since it is the best time for sightseeings.
After breakfast, visit to the Spice plantations.
Boat cruise on the lake of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar-an ariticial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is in the heart of the Wildlife sanctuary. Wild Elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even tigers come to shores of the lake to drink. Return to hotel for breakfast. Overnight: Hotel

Day 4: Periyar-Kumarakom/Kottayam
This morning after breakfast, drive through the winding "Ghats" kind with prosperous tea plantations & then arrive the fascinating countryside of low-lying palms and paddy field to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater willage on the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake, crises crossed with meandering waterways and ancient cottages.

Day at leisure to see an extra ordinary way of life.

Day 6: Kumarakom - House Boat
Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and check in at the house boat for the direction to Alleppey enroute sightseeing on the bank of the backwaters. The overnight cruise will take you through Kumarakom -Alleppey Backwaters. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, dinner next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place.

Day 7: House Boat
Morning ride in the direction of Alleppey enroute explore the rural life of Kerala .The backwater cruise in a country boat is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. The overnight cruise will take you through Alleppey Backwaters. "Venice of the East"- Alleppey. The overnight cruise takes you through Alleppey Backwater allowing you to enjoy serene surroundings en route. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served on board. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by getting a glimpse of the village life from a close quarter. Enjoy the sunset and stay overnight on the houseboat. Day 8: House Boat - Alleppey - Cochin
Morning after breakfast disembark from House boat and drive to Cochin.
Afternoon free. Evening watch the Kathakali dance performance .

Day 9: Cochin
Visit Cochin
Visit of the historic city of Fort Cochin - ancient capital of the Dutch, Portuguese and finally the British. A walking tour of Fort Cochin. Visit will include the old Spice Market at Mattancherry, the antique shop on Jews street, The Synagogue, Dutch Palace and the Church of St Francis where the mortal remains of Vasco Da Gama was buried before it was shifted to Portugal.
Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 10: Leave Cochin
This morning after the breakfast, you will be transfered to Airport/Railway station to board the flight/Train for your onward journey to back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of your Kerala tour escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
