Day 3: Chennai - Trichy
After breakfast drive to Trichy. Upon arrival at Trichy check into your hotel.
Later visit Trichy and Srirangam on the way.
Srirangam: 5 kms from Trichy, located in an island is Srirangam. Surrounded by the Kaveri water is a 600 acre island town enclosed within the seven walls on the gigantic Sri Ranganathaswami temple. There are no less than 22 gopurams, one of which is the tallest in India. The 72 m high 13 tiered gopuram dominates the landscape for miles around.
The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri river, Trichy's most famed land mark is an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox.3,800 million years. The attraction is not for fort itself but the temple at the summit. 344 steps hewn out of rock lead to the top where are the inscriptions dating back to the 3rd century B.C.

Day 4:Trichy - Tanjore
After breakfast drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival at Tanjore check into your hotel.
Later proceed on a city tour of Tanjore
Tanjore: The home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional hadicrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola King Raja Rajan is an architect's marvel. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are also well known places of interest.

Day 5: Tanjore - Madurai
After breakfast drive for Madurai. Upon arrival at Madurai check into your hotel.
Later proceed on a city tour of Madurai
Visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams – (rising high above the surrounding countryside). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace – a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches.
In the evening visit the Meenakshi Temple to attend the "Aarti" ceremony.

Day 6: Madurai - Periyar
After breakfast drive to Periyar and transfer to hotel.
Boat cruise on the lake of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar-an ariticial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is in the heart of the Wildlife sanctuary. Wild Elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even tigers come to shores of the lake to drink. Return to hotel for breakfast. Thereafter drive through the winding "Ghats" kind with prosperous tea plantations & then arrive the fascinating countryside of low-lying palms and paddy field to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater willage on the shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake, crises crossed with meandering waterways and ancient cottages.

Day 7: Periyar - Kumarakom
This morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On arrival transfer to Ayurvedic Resort. Evening boat ride on the back waters.

Day 9: Kumarakom
This morning after breakfast transfer to the rice boats for the cruise on the lake and backwaters. Later visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary.

Day 10:Kumarakom - Cochin
This morning after breakfast drive to Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel.
Later proceed for sightseeing of Cochin.
Visit Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets and Bolgatty Palace etc.

Day 11:Cochin -Mararikulam
After breakfast drive to Mararikulam.On arrival check in at Marari Beach Resort. Rest of the Day free
